Utica Jewelry & Loan has a GIA Gemologist on site and on staff. The appraisal process is actually assessing the value of the object being appraised. It includes, weighing, measuring, gold testing, diamond and gem testing, as well as assessing the workmanship; details and time put into the piece.

Cost of an Appraisal
The charge varies depending on the size and detail of the item. For instance, if the item has many different sizes and shape stones it can lengthen the appraisal process.
We are currently offering Full appraisals for $50 or $40 for card size appraisal + options to both $75.
